Sample Design 5

The Brief:
Having moved from a much larger garden, the clients, who are keen gardeners, wished for an interesting and spacious design which provided a large area for entertaining, yet allowed plenty of space for planting. The site was dominated by several very large trees with the ground sloping away to the rear. Also to be accommodated: a beautiful cedar greenhouse and a large shed.

Key Features:
• Large curvaceous terraces and wide borders for planting.
• Brick edged lawn for ease of mowing.
• Pergola over pathway thorough the borders, providing structure for climbers and screening to rear access gate.
• Several different seating areas throughout the garden.
• Greenhouse given pride of place as a visual feature within the borders.
